Help Natural High Grow The Mission With These Creative Ways

Giving feels good. And you don’t have to spend a year of your life on a mission trip or give half of your paycheck to a charity in order to support a cause you believe in.

There are so many ways to give.

We all want to contribute and be a part of something significant. Often, though, it’s either a mystery about how to get involved, or the barrier is so big that it makes it impossible. In reality, there are a lot of ways to participateWe’ve gathered 9 examples of how YOU can support Natural High – and most do not involve giving money.

1. Give the most valuable resource: your time

We can only imagine how much is on your plate, whether you’re a teacher or a parent (or both!). Thinking about having important conversations with kids about the dangers of substance use can feel overwhelming.

You know it’s important, but it’s hardly ever urgent – until it’s a crisis.

That being said, we’ve made it as simple as possible to take away most of the burden by explaining what to talk about and how to start the conversation. Get started here to learn more about our program.

Give your time – carve out a commitment in advance and put it in your calendar and plans. The investment of your time together to have conversations about healthy living will pay dividends for a lifetime.

2. “In Memory of” Fundraisers

Create a fundraiser in honor of someone’s milestone or memory. A senior in high school, Peyton, lost her best friend to an accidental fentanyl overdose. She created a bracelet fundraiser in memory of her friend Will and raised over $3,600 in support of Natural High.

We have had many folks who have raised money in memory of someone they lost to addiction. In fact, Natural High was founded on the loss of our founder, Jon Sundt’s, two brothers to addiction. Watch his story here.

You can even design your own t-shirt fundraiser and sell the shirts online through companies like Bonfire or Custom Ink dedicating your profits to Natural High.

3. Tell Your Story

Our program is really simple to use, and it’s really effective as an intervention. A lot of parents and educators don’t know about it, though. And if they’re not familiar with it, they’re not likely to use it. That’s why it can be powerful to hear about something from a friend. In life, that’s how all good ideas spread: from one friend to another.

So, here’s a simple idea: if you’ve used our program before, and have seen it impact students or your kids, then open up your laptop or mobile device and film a testimonial. Send it to us, and we’ll be sure to send it out through our social channels. You can post it, too. You never know who might see it.

4. Dedicate your birthday to Natural High

While once an outrageous idea, now it’s pretty normal and accepted to see someone dedicate their birthday to a cause they support. One supporter on Facebook raised $725 for his birthday this year! It’s simple to create a Facebook fundraiser, just visit this link.

6. Use Your Natural High to Raise Money

Love to run, hike, or create digital media? Create a campaign around your Natural High and use it to fundraise by having friends, family, and coworkers to pledge their support for each mile you run, each trail you trek, or blanket you quilt. See what one of our supporters did here. She raised over $1,500 for Natural High.

7. Purchase Merchandise From Natural High

Cool merchandise that supports a meaningful cause? Talk about a win-win.

We have something for every occasion to support Natural High in our merch store. Our hope since the beginning has been to inspire young people to pursue a path in life that will enable them to flourish and thrive.

When you purchase one of our items, you’re not only helping to fund the Natural High movement and reach more kids, but you’re also inviting others to become aware of their opportunity to pursue a naturally high lifestyle.

8. Donation in Lieu of Gifts or Special Event Favors

Designate a special event in your life and invite people to give a donation instead of a gift. Even if one of your friends doesn’t give, they still get exposed to our mission and will become more familiar with our resources which might become more relevant to them in the future.

9. Give a Donation

Break up your gift into a monthly, recurring gift. Monthly gifts are charged automatically to your credit or debit card for your convenience. Make your gift online and select “Monthly” to set up a monthly gift.
